BALTIMORE WASHINGTON MEDICAL SPONSORS FARMERS’ MARKETS IN GLEN BURNIE

Baltimore Washington Medical Center and Healthy Markets, Benefit LLC are teaming up to offer farmers’ markets in Glen Burnie. Markets will be held on the second Friday of each month, beginning May 11 continuing through October 12, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, located behind BW Federal Credit Union at 301 Hospital Drive and bi-weekly on the first and third Saturday’s of each month, beginning May 19 continuing through October 20, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Executive Center, located at 300 Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie. Seasonal fruits, vegetables, baked goods and prepared foods will be available. WIC Fruit and Vegetable Checks (FVC) and Farmers’ Market Nutrition (FMNP) checks will be accepted. Free parking is available at both locations. The markets will be held rain or shine.
