Exercise Classes
Baltimore Washington Medical Center offers a variety of exercise classes to help improve your health no matter what your fitness level is. Join us for a fun way to work out and relieve stress.
Class descriptions are provided below. Click here to view our calendar and register for your class today. Pre-registration is required as class sizes are limited. The cost is $50 per 10 week session, due at time of registration. We offer classes at multiple locations for your convenience.

Beginning Yoga
Yoga provides improved flexibility, strength, coordination and concentration by providing a means of reducing stress and relaxing the body and mind. Participants are asked to wear loose, comfortable clothing and to bring their own yoga mat. Prior yoga experience is not required.
Beginning Pilates
Pilates provides improved flexibility, coordination and stamina by focusing on strengthening the abdominal core. Participants are asked to wear loose, comfortable clothing and to bring their own yoga mat. Prior Pilates experience is not required and all ability levels are welcome.
Beginning Yoga/Pilates Combination
This class combines yoga and Pilates to provide improved flexibility, strengthening of the abdominal core, coordination and concentration by providing a means of reducing stress and relaxing the body and mind. Participants are asked to wear loose, comfortable clothing and to bring their own yoga mat. Prior experience is not required.
Fitness Fusion
This fun, high-energy class incorporates yoga, boxing, dancing, Pilates, weight training and meditation for a full-body workout. Participants are encouraged to bring light hand and ankle weights and a yoga mat. All levels are welcome, but current participation in regular exercise is encouraged.
Pilates
Pilates provides improved flexibility, coordination and stamina by focusing on strengthening the abdominal core. Participants are asked to wear loose, comfortable clothing and to bring their own yoga mat. Prior Pilates experience is recommended.
Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal yoga is specifically designed for the journey of pregnancy. Conducted in a calm, peaceful environment, yoga helps strengthen pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort. All trimesters welcome. Physician consent required.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is an inwardly drawn practice which combines long-held floor poses with breath work and meditation. Yin yoga works beneath the superficial muscles to target joints and dense connective tissues of the body. This deep practice is gentle, yet intense, assisting students to open the body, improve flexibility, increase range of motion and still the mind. Suitable for all levels.
Yoga

Zumba
Zumba is a high-energy, Latin-themed exercise routine with easy to follow steps that provides cardiovascular conditioning while toning the body and mind.
