CareFirst designated BWMC as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery. The distinctions are awarded to medical facilities that have demonstrated expertise in delivering quality healthcare. The Aetna Institutes of Quality® Orthopedic Care for Spine Surgery designates hospitals and facilities in their network as “Institutes of Quality” based upon an evaluation of clinical performance and overall value.
